May 2024: an overview of events

May is traditionally quite packed with different events related to the ITS industry. Here’s a short overview of the conferences and seminars we will attend this month.

We will kick off May with the ISWIM webinar on WIM data for bridges, which will be followed by Conference on Slovenian Municipal Roads, an event dedicated to the challenges facing Slovenian municipalities. One of the emphasis of this year’s conference will be how to curtail speeding on municipal roads; we will present our experience with incognito and sectional speed measurements.

Traffex, one of the UK’s biggest events on traffic management and road safety, will take place on 22 and 23 May, followed by the ITS Asia Pacific Forum in Indonesia, an event we visit every year.

We will conclude the month with the 5th Serbian Road Congress, where we will present an article titled Use of bridge weigh-in-motion data: A case study of the Republic of Serbia.
