Infrastructure Monitoring System
Bridge weigh-in-motion and structural health monitoring tailored for large-scale use on bridges with two lane roads.

Large-scale gathering of infrastructure data
Infrastructure Monitoring System addresses the most common challenge facing asset managers of regional and local infrastructure: limited funding and unlimited need for the data. This cost-effective solution was specifically designed to gather data needed for pavement maintenance, bridge analysis, and traffic studies on large parts of the road network.

DATA
- vehicle classification
- gross vehicle weight
- speed
- distance between vehicles
- dynamic amplification factor
- acceleration
- vibrations
- deflection
- the bridge weigh-in-motion sensors and accelerometers are synchronized.
The data gathered by the system is written in .csv files, which are fully customizable.

EQUIPMENT
The Infrastructure Monitoring System consists of an 8-channel bridge weigh-in-motion system and 2 accelerometers. The setup is capable of covering bridges carrying two-lane roads.
USE CASES
Bridge protection
Check how many HGVs are over the limitations if a bridge is posted for maximum gross vehicle weight
Bridge analysis
Acceleration-based live monitoring of the structure and dynamic
amplification factor for each vehicle
Traffic statistics:
vehicle classification, gross vehicle weight, axle loads, speed, axle
distances, etc.
