Three weeks to the Conference of Slovenian Association of Structural Engineers

Between 13 and 14 November, the annual Conference of the Slovenian Association of Structural Engineers will take place in Portorož, Slovenia.

The two-day conference will include many intriguing keynote lectures:

• Design and construction of a railway bridge over the Oder River near Küstrin (Lorenz Haspel, Schlaich Bergermann partner)
• Cast steel connections for enhanced performance of structures (Jennifer Anna Pazdon, Cast Connex)
• Actual trends in design, construction and monitoring of large-span bridges (Marjan Pipenbaher, Ponting – Pipenbaher Consulting Engineers)
• Site-Specific Seismic Hazard Assessment for a Lava-Soil Stratigraphy Incorporating Near-Fault Effects (Rajesh Rupakhety, University of Iceland)
• Technical improvments mase in second generation of Eurocodes for steel and concrete bridges design (Chris Hendy, AtkinsRéalis)

The Slovenian Association of Structural Engineers is an organization that promotes the sharing of knowledge among experts in the field of structural engineering, while its members also cooperate in the preparation of technical standards. This will be the 46th edition of the conference.
