27. 10. 2026From 21 to 23 October, the 17th Slovenian Congress on Transport and Transport Infrastructure (SKOPPI) took place in Portorož, bringing together experts in transport, road and railway infrastructure, and the development of modern transport solutions. Several Cestel employees attended the congress and contributed to its professional programme.
One of the key sessions was the round table “From Data to Sanctions – The Future of Overloaded Truck Enforcement. Are We Ready?”, moderated by Martin Hauptman. The session was led by Matija Mavrič, Head of Sales and Marketing at Cestel.
Cestel also contributed two technical papers to the programme: Bridge Protection with a Combination of Bridge WIM Systems and ANPR Cameras and The Issue of Lifted Axles on fully lloaded Trucks. The papers addressed current challenges in weigh-in-motion technology, bridge protection and the enforcement of heavy goods vehicles.

A particular highlight of this year’s congress was the recognition awarded to Cestel’s Director, Robert Brozovič. He received the recognition for his pioneering introduction of digitalisation and artificial intelligence in the road sector, as well as for his successful leadership of Cestel.
The recognition acknowledges his contribution to the company’s development and the implementation of advanced technological solutions. Under his leadership, Cestel continues to develop innovative technologies that contribute to more effective traffic enforcement, road infrastructure protection and the digitalisation of the road sector.
Looking ahead, we will continue to contribute to safer, more efficient and more sustainable road infrastructure management through our expertise, innovation and the development of advanced technologies. This recognition is further encouragement for our continued efforts and confirmation that developing modern solutions is the right path forward.
